Dr. Seidman appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show on January 22, 2008. The entire show was devoted to helping smokers, and he was a consultant as well as a featured guest for the show. There were over 300 smokers in the audience that day! Dr Seidman has also been a guest on the Oprah and Friends XM radio show with Dr. Oz (December 2007) and on BBC radio (April, 2009). He has been interviewed as an expert for articles in the Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Business Week, AMNews (The newspaper for America's Physicians) as well as making frequent appearances on local television and other media.

A brief version of his book Smoke-Free in 30 Days was featured on the Oprah show, and then made available on Oprah.com where it was downloaded by more than 200,000 people.
